PEEPFEST-DAY 1

A wide variety of acitviites

PEEPSFEST 2019 is the annual New Year’s Eve festival held Dec. 30 and 31 at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. Three notable additions to this year celebration was the Divinci Science Center’s Mixing Matters show.  The kid friendly show teaches chemistry experiments using different substances including fire. Another highlight was the Peeps in The Kitchen cooking demo provided by ArtsQuest Chefs.  The 20-minute demonstrations showed creative ways to cook in the kitchen with PEEPS.  Another new addition was the one-mile fun run which began at the ArtsQuest Center which tested each participants speed and endurance. Photo: One of the new events this year was the PEEPS in the Kitchen cooking demonstration held at the PBS39 studios.  ArtsQuest Chefs demonstrated to viewers in attendance creative ways to cook with PEEPS.

PEEPFEST-DAY 2

Room to run around

Every city has its own New Year’s traditions.  Here in Bethlehem, we have Peepsfest. As a mom, I appreciate the Peep drop celebration, especially because it takes place long before midnight.  We attended the Peepsfest Dec. 31, and the yellow Peep, hoisted before the Steelstacks, was a bright spot in the cloudy landscape.  Before the drop, we explored the children’s activities at ArtsQuest.  Photo: Gabrielle Holmes, of Reigelsville, shows off her cheerful balloon spider from Tootse and Friends
